Cancun is a well-known vacation destination in Mexico, particularly for spring break, all-inclusive vacations, or simply unwinding. But there is so much more to Mexico than just Cancun; there are many other charming locations to explore.
Whether you’re interested in trying something different or seeking a quieter atmosphere away from Cancun’s crowds, Mexico has countless destinations to uncover. Here are some top recommendations for alternative destinations worth exploring.
1. Tulum

While in Tulum, make sure to visit Chichen Itza, one of the most well-preserved Mayan ruins nearby, and don’t miss out on the amazing Cenote Calavera, where you can swim and enjoy the stunning sinkhole.

I recommend exploring downtown for its restaurants, bars, shops, and the stunning views of the yachts and boats at the Marina Cabo San Lucas.
