1. Kennebunkport (Maine)

The Christmas Prelude is a well-known holiday festival catered by the town of Kennebunkport from December 5-14, 2024. The Christmas Prelude starts with a Tree Lighting Ceremony in the heart of the town’s center.
The following events happen during the two weeks of the Christmas Prelude: Annual Hat Parade, Tree Lighting, Christmas Stroll, Prelude Family Street Parade, and so much more!

2. Woodstock (Vermont)
Nothing sounds cozier and in the season than the beauty of fresh-fallen snow on the mountains surrounding Woodstock, Vermont. Imagine snowflakes reflecting the glimmers of holiday lights as they fall to the ground.
Travel back in time to the Victorian era with Christmas on the Farm. Snuggle up by the outdoor fire pits and enjoy some s’mores and hot cocoa with your loved ones.

Saint Michaels, Maryland is a town with the classic Hallmark movie feeling all throughout. They’ve even filmed in this town for a Hallmark movie.
Bring the family to Saint Michaels anytime from December 13-15, 2024, to enjoy the holiday fun. The town boasts Gingerbread creations, breakfast with Santa, and the Talbot Street Parade.
But the Christmas fun doesn’t stop there. A must-do is the Tour of Homes! Imagine decking the halls with holiday decor and cheer throughout. The North Pole experience is a must-do for the littles in your family. You and your children will depart on Santa’s shuttle, magically go through the Santa portal, and arrive at Santa’s workshop. This sounds so incredibly fun! I’m ready to take my kids to Arizona specifically for this event!
Your family can view Mrs. Claus’ bakery, and everyone can enjoy treats made by the elves. Visit where the elves learn their toy-building skills at the Elf University. The fun is never-ending! Grab your bags, and head to Flagstaff for some of the most memorable Christmas fun!
7. Breckenridge (Colorado)
You’re about to step back into the Victorian period with historical homes creating the perimeter of this town. Lamp posts light your way into the town’s Christmas delight.
Breckenridge boasts one of the largest light displays for the holiday season. Some refer to it as a winter snow globe for all to see.
Have you ever participated in a race dressed as Santa Claus? You can join the 5K Race of Santas and wear your best-dressed Santa attire.
Imagine a holiday dog parade where your pup gets to dress up for the season too! Dog sledding and horse-drawn sleigh rides are more family-fun adventures to join.

8. Leavenworth (Washington)
If you’re looking for the all-time Christmas fun full of endless activities and twinkling lights, Leavenworth is a must-see. You and your family can visit Christmastown where the Bavarian Alpine Village comes to life with a gingerbread house exhibition, story corner, hot cocoa, and crafts for kids.
But the fun continues as Christmas caroling is heard throughout the village while Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, and friends arrive. It’s like living in a magical snow globe full of music, holiday lights, and adventure!
