10 Phrases Kids Use Parents Should Know!
As Teens we use Slang for everything… Want to know what we are saying? Well I’m going to try my best and explain some to you.
1. Bussin

2. Rent Free
“Rent-free” is a slang term used to describe someone who is living in another person’s mind or thoughts without paying any emotional or mental “rent.” It suggests that the person occupies space in someone else’s thoughts or conversations without any effort or cost on their part.
3. No Cap
“No cap” is a slang expression indicating that the speaker is honest or sincere, emphasizing the authenticity of their statement. It is often used to underscore a statement’s truthfulness or assert that there is no exaggeration or falsehood involved. “Cap” just means a lie.
4. Something Light
“Something light” is a colloquial phrase used to describe something easy, uncomplicated, or not burdensome. It can refer to a simple task, a casual event, or anything that doesn’t require much effort or seriousness.
5. Say it with your Chest
“Say it with your chest” is a slang phrase urging someone to speak or express themselves confidently and assertively, without hesitation or fear. It encourages the person to communicate their thoughts or opinions boldly and with conviction.
6. Drip
“Drip” is a slang term used to describe someone’s stylish and fashionable appearance or the overall swag and confidence they exude through their clothing and accessories. It signifies a sense of coolness and self-assured fashion sense.
7. Boujee
“Boujee” is a slang term derived from “bourgeois,” and it describes someone or something that is luxurious, sophisticated, or high-end, often with a sense of ostentation or perceived snobbery. It is commonly used to refer to a person’s extravagant lifestyle or taste.
8. The Tea
“The tea” is a slang term that refers to gossip or the latest news, especially when it involves personal or juicy details about someone’s life. When someone says, “spill the tea,” they are asking for the inside scoop or to share interesting information or gossip.
9. Lowkey
“Lowkey” is a slang term used to describe something that is done quietly, discreetly, or in a subtle manner, often to keep it on the down-low or not attract much attention. It can also convey a level of understatement or a less obvious expression of a feeling or opinion.
10. Ate That
“Ate that” is a slang expression often used to convey someone’s success, skill, or excellence in a particular activity or situation. It suggests that the person performed exceptionally well or accomplished something impressively.
