Go Far Girl, The Podcast For Women

Go Far, Girl: Episode 1 with Chantelle Kincy

Hey there. I’m Chantelle, and I want to welcome you to something that’s been on my heart for a long time: Go Far Girl — a podcast for women who believe that travel isn’t just about checking places off a list. It’s about finding your way back to yourself.

I created this space because I know how powerful travel can be. It’s not always about the picture-perfect views or the bucket list destinations. Sometimes, it’s about proving to yourself that you’re stronger than you thought. That you’re capable. That you deserve joy.

A little about me — I grew up in Northern California and now live in the Pacific Northwest with my husband and our three dogs. I’m a writer, a mom, and a woman who’s walked through fire and made it out the other side. Years ago, I was in an abusive marriage. It broke me down, made me question my worth, and left me wondering if I’d ever feel like myself again.

And then something shifted.

Back when I was still married — and honestly, barely holding it together — my little sister called with an idea: a road trip to Moab, Utah. Just the two of us and my kids. I was scared. I didn’t even think I’d be allowed to go. But, for reasons I still don’t fully understand, he said yes.

So I packed the car. Just me and the boys, road trip snacks, a playlist, and that wide-open feeling you get when you hit the highway. We picked up my sister, and we hiked through Arches. We wandered through Canyonlands. We made random roadside stops, popped into museums, and saw movies. I did all of it — I planned it, I led it, I lived it.

And somewhere out there on a dusty trail, with my kids laughing and rolling down red dirt hills, something cracked open in me.

For so long, I’d been told I wasn’t smart enough, strong enough, or capable enough to do life alone. And for a while, I believed it. But out there — just me, my kids, and the open sky — I started to doubt him instead of doubting myself.

When we turned the corner and Delicate Arch came into view, I felt it in my bones: I could do hard things. I didn’t need permission to live my life. I could be the one who plans the trips, makes the memories, and shows my kids what joy and freedom look like.

That trip was the beginning of something new. I wasn’t just surviving anymore — I was coming back to life.

And that’s exactly what Go Far Girl is about. This podcast is a space for real, honest, empowering stories of women who have found healing, growth, and confidence through travel. Sometimes it’s a solo trip across the world. Sometimes it’s a weekend road trip. But it always starts with one step — the choice to go far.

Every week, I’ll bring you stories from women who’ve gone far in miles and in life. You’ll hear inspiring interviews, personal reflections, and practical tips for navigating travel — especially solo travel. We’ll talk about the messy parts, the magical moments, and the ones that stay with you long after the bags are unpacked.

This podcast is for the woman who’s been through some things and still wants more. For the woman who’s curious about the world and about herself. For the one just beginning to dream of going, and for the one who’s already gone and can’t wait to go again.

If that sounds like you, I hope you’ll subscribe and stay awhile. This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to see how far we’ll go.
