Quotes about Wanderlust

These are my favorite quotes about wanderlust and how to cure it.

I was born with wanderlust. I don’t know why. We didn’t travel as a family when I was growing up. I would dream of travel. I spent time looking at maps and encyclopedias (yes, I’m that old) and read about all the magical places in the world. When I planned my career in my mind, I planned to be a travel agent, a flight attendant, in the Air Force, anything I could think of that would help me GO! I ended up having kids early, and none of those other dreams had room anymore. Over the last few years, I have returned to that space in my heart and traveled. It brings me a joy nothing else can touch. It inspires me, humbles me, and feeds me.

When I’m not traveling, I am planning travel. I read about places, research activities, save and plan. Finding quotes that motivate me and excite me helps get me through the downtime. I have 10 quotes about Wanderlust that I turn to when I need a pick me up and I’d love to share them with you.

What is wanderlust?

wan·der·lust/ˈwändərˌləst:noun 1. a strong desire to travel.

What can I do about it?

Normally, I’d answer this question with a simple “Go! Go somewhere, anywhere”. Plan, and go! Or maybe don’t plan and just go? Currently, the world is in a holding pattern regarding travel. No travel for the foreseeable future has got those born with wanderlust in their veins itching to go more so than ever. Here are my 10 favorite quotes about Wanderlust to inspire, and tide us over until it’s time to go again.
