It’s one of Disney’s most popular cruise destinations due to its exclusivity, beautiful beaches, free activities, and additional paid adventures. What makes Castaway Cay exceptional is its family-friendly atmosphere. There are designated beach areas for families, and you can even rent private family cabanas for a day of shade, excellent service, and unforgettable memories.

The George Town Cruise Port operates differently as it’s a tender port. This means you won’t step directly from the ship onto the island. Instead, you’ll board a small boat to reach the land. But don’t worry; this process shouldn’t dampen your excitement for exploring!

It’s an excellent cruise port for families because it offers various activities. It’s widely known for its beautiful beaches and fantastic snorkeling opportunities. However, you shouldn’t miss the chance to visit Stingray City, where you can interact with over a hundred stingrays eager to be fed. This unique experience is sure to be a hit with the whole family.

Mykonos, Greece, is an excellent spot for a relaxed family trip. It’s famous for its beautiful beaches, delicious food, Mediterranean sea views, rich history, and charming white buildings.  While you can visit attractions like windmills, go island hopping, or experience the nightlife, families with children may prefer to unwind on the beaches, and Mykonos offers plenty of fantastic options.

I suggest dividing your time in Mykonos between exploring Matoyanni Street for shopping, dining, and admiring the architecture and enjoying down time on a beach like Agia Anna or Plati Gialos.

When it comes to family trips at Alaska cruise ports, you can’t go wrong with any, but there’s something special about the Juneau Cruise Port. As Alaska’s capital city, Juneau offers plenty of sights, excursions, and various restaurants and shops to explore, making it a hit for families looking for a bit of everything.

While Juneau’s shopping and dining are great, what really makes this port stand out are its numerous excursions. You can choose to explore a glacier, go whale watching, enjoy a hike, or experience dog sledding, along with many other fun-filled activities. I personally went on an Alaskan cruise with my family, and we loved going whale watching together. It was a hit for adults and kids, making it one of our favorite experiences.

There are two main cruise ports in Cozumel: Punta Langosta and Puerto Maya. They are conveniently situated near many different shops, restaurants, and top attractions. The best activity you should do during a family cruise in Cozumel is visiting an all-inclusive beach club. These clubs offer something for everyone to enjoy!

I recommend checking out Mr. Sanchos Beach Club. One of my good friends, a cruise expert and travel advisor, did thorough research before her family cruise to Mexico and highly recommended it. It’s praised for its all-you-can-eat food and drinks, fantastic amenities like two pools and ocean kayaks, and the option to add an Aquatic Park for extra water fun with trampolines and obstacles.

Hawaii is truly special, and although there are many wonderful cruise ports, Honolulu Harbor in Oahu shines as a top pick for families. Right by the cruise terminals, you’ll find Aloha Tower Marketplace, a big waterfront shopping center with a lot of history, shops, and places to eat. It’s a convenient stop, but there’s more to explore in Honolulu if you’re up for a short drive.

I recommend visiting Kahanamoku Beach for its excellent snorkeling and the chance to see sea turtles and soak in the stunning beach views. If you want more adventure, fun tours like snorkeling trips are available around the island. You can also get a day pass for a resort or visit the Honolulu Zoo for more exciting activities.

This lovely island is perfect for a relaxing family cruise. You can spend the day at one of its many charming beaches. I recommend checking out Great Bay Beach, which is close to the cruise port and easy to walk to. This makes it super convenient, especially for families with little ones or those who prefer shorter travels during port days. Plus, downtown Phillipsburg has charming shops and restaurants, perfect for shopping and dining before or after your beach time.

The cable car offers fantastic views without needing to climb up to the town, making it enjoyable for kids and adults.

Once in Fira, you can explore the main area with its shops and restaurants. For a deeper dive into the island’s history, consider visiting top historical sites like The Archaeological Museum of Ancient Thera or The Akrotiri Archaeological Site, though these are more suited for older kids and adults. If you have younger children, it’s a great plan to stick to exploring Fira or nearby Oia Village for views, food, shopping, and architecture.

The Port de Barcelona sits beneath the Gothic Quarter, where many top attractions are located. While it’s possible to walk from the World Trade Center Pier, it’s more convenient to take a bus or taxi from other cruise terminals, but it’s just a short ride away.

A must-do activity for families is taking a stroll along Las Ramblas, taking in the lively atmosphere, distinct architecture, shopping, and dining options. Don’t forget to visit La Boqueria Market for some delicious bites. Once you’re fueled up, explore iconic spots like Sagrada Família or Casa Milà for their impressive architecture and history.
