In a groundbreaking development for the world of travel, Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines have announced a monumental partnership. This collaboration signifies not only a leap forward in airline services but also promises a richer, more varied experience for travelers globally.

Mileage Programs
One of my favorite things about airlines working together is the ability to share your earned miles with all other airlines in the alliance. This gives better flight flexibility when trying to find the perfect itinerary and price.
While it was taking me forever to build up a good amount of miles on Hawaiian Air, I’ll be able to reach those milestones quicker by combining my Alaska miles since I fly Alaska all the time!
A few weeks ago, I was flying to London on British Air and realized they were part of the Oneworld Alliance with Alaska. I was able to use my Alaska membership number to collect the miles from British Air. With this flexibility, I can build up miles much quicker than before.
Looking Ahead
While the acquisition process, estimated to take 12 to 18 months, unfolds, both airlines will continue operating independently.
