15 Aromatherapy Essential Oils To Help Enhance Your Life
Have you ever tried using essential oils for aromatherapy? Everywhere you look these days you find something that says “Essential Oils”. My mom has used them for years. We used to tease her about her “hippie oils” until one day I had a migraine. I had tried everything to make it stop, and it wouldn’t let up.
I finally called her, crying, “Just bring me some of your weird hippie oils so I don’t die!” I’m super dramatic like that. Seriously, it’s not cute. I’m working on it. ANYWAY, she brought me some peppermint oil. I put it on my temples and in a diffuser she brought over, and an hour later, BAM, no headache! Okay, weird oils, you win this round.
I’ve compiled a list of the most popular and useful Essential Oils that you can start with aromatherapy right away.

Citrusy. Creates an uplifting, positive environment, invites calm and relaxation
Blue Cypress

Sweet and Woody. Helps improve mood and reduce stress
Cedarwood

Warm is woodsy and helps promote a calm, comforting feeling. A natural de-odorizer
Cinnamon

It’s warm and comforting, and it helps decrease depression and exhaustion. It’s great during fall and the holidays; add it to citrus oil, and it’s warm and festive.

Lavender

Sweet and floral, this is my favorite. I use it every day, mixed with peppermint, citrus, cedar, you name it. It’s great at night to help calm and soothe.
